Blog Envy....

So my friend Pam has this great blog, The Dayton Time. I don't write her enough but I faithfully read her blog (OK sometimes I have to catch up but not by more than a few days...).

Anyway, she posts these beautiful conversations that she has with her children. Now, CR has ALWAYS been a verbal kid, just we couldn't understand most of what she was saying (not really). So today was a big day for me...Today CR and I had our first - Cute Conversation...

So this morning I was writing CRs Uncle Mark, who is in Afghanistan on business, and I asked CR what she wanted to say to him...

She said "Paul?" (Uncle Paul was here last week - a little confused)

...then the conversation went something like this...

Mommy - "Uncle Mark and Auntie Mamee?"
CR - Mamee?
M - yup..do you have a message for him? He is far away.
CR - Mamee Baby?
M - yes
CR - Makus? Mamee? Baby?
M - Uncle Marcus is Auntie Mamee's baby's Daddy. (OY!)
CR - Pappa?
M - Yup
CR - Oh!
Cussie, Mamee Baby!!!
M - You got it! Do you want to say Hi to Uncle Marcus?
CR - Bye Bye!!

How exciting! Being able to converse with your child, even on a basic level (which your conversation with CR was not basic, what demonstration of her grasp of relationships!) makes life easier. At least, until they get bargaining tactics. Then, not so much.

I'm so flattered you have blog envy.

Love you guys!

What a blast to have an actual sentence-type exchange with your brilliant baby! It stops being so cute when they become little litigators so enjoy it now. I heard your guy was giving you a hard time about your 100 list. You should send him over to my blog and have him submit his, I'm linked in to the contest.
