We lost our little girl cat Claire yesterday. Claire was 12 and 11 of those years were spent on borrowed time but we loved this tiny furball. Claire was a rescue that was found at the Fresh Kills landfill on Staten Island and had more health problems than we can count. Right before Miles and I got married she spent four days at Bobst Hospital and we thought we would lose her then. That was 9 years ago...
Claire had a full life though...torturing and "correcting" the dog, watching over CR, and more recently RC, and overseeing all that was in her domain. Claire loved her best pal Max and he is a little lost without her. Max always let Claire eat first and watched over her when she wasn't well. Miles, Annabelle, CR and I found a quiet sunny place up "on the hill" for her. And CR and Annabelle gave her a send off fit for a queen.

This is how I will always remember Claire. She didn't want to be around any of us when we were awake, it was way too overstimulating (petting her would give her seizures) but when we were asleep, she would watch over all of us. She will be missed.
